‘HOLOBIONTS ON A SYMBIOTIC PLANET’, with JORGE RIECHMANN

The contemporary ecological-social crisis is so deep that it invites us to reconsider the very foundations of the dominant ideologies and common sense. Won’t it be counterproductive the pursuit of domination over nature? Does it make sense to consider ourselves as individuals separated from our own kind and from the ecosystems? Isn’t the anthropocentrism is not tearing us apart?

Perhaps we can advance towards what could be called a ‘symbioethics’ for terrestrial beings, for Homo sapiens that really decide to assume the human condition in the biosphere of the third planet of the Solar System.

This activity is included in the project ‘Humanidades ecológicas y transiciones ecosociales. Propuestas éticas, estéticas y pedagógicas para el antropoceno, PID2019-107757RB-I00’.

At the same time, the sound installation ‘Acuática‘, by the Dutch Bosch&Simons will be inaugurated in the Teatre Chamber.
